Our monthly Discovery Days invite you into our stunning Silver Collection, where you’ll enjoy an in-depth talk from one of our team members about the fascinating history of Birmingham Assay Office and the city itself. It’s a truly immersive experience for anyone curious about our heritage.
We also host delightful Afternoon Tea sessions in our beautiful Silver Room, where you can indulge in a delicious tea while surrounded by history. It’s a fantastic way to spend an afternoon with friends or loved ones in a truly special setting.

Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm
When driving to Birmingham Assay office please note:
- For Customer drop off and collection please use Moreton St
- For Visitors please use main entrance on Icknield St
- Moreton Street – connects Pope Street and Carver Street.
- Pope Street is one way
- Carver Street is one way and Moreton Street can only be accessed by turning right
